ADA Louvre Systems’ acoustic louvres are designed to provide effective sound attenuation while maintaining the airflow required for ventilation of plant rooms, mechanical equipment and building services.
Our acoustic louvre range is supported by independent acoustic and aerodynamic testing, providing architects, engineers, acoustic consultants and contractors with verified performance data for product selection and specification.
Tested in accordance with AS 1191-2002 – Acoustics – Method for laboratory measurement of airborne sound transmission insulation of building elements, with performance rated in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 717-1:2004 – Acoustics – Rating of sound insulation in buildings and of building elements, Part 1: Airborne sound insulation.
Tested in accordance with AS 4740:2025 – Natural ventilators – Classification and performance, providing verified aerodynamic performance data for the tested configuration. AS 4740:2025 is the current standard and supersedes AS/NZS 4740:2000.

Acoustic louvres need to achieve two competing objectives: reducing the transmission of unwanted noise while allowing sufficient airflow for ventilation.
ADA acoustic louvres combine purpose-designed blade configurations with internal perforated liners and acoustic insulation to provide sound attenuation while maintaining airflow through the louvre. Different louvre depths and single- or double-blade configurations are available, allowing the system to be selected according to the acoustic and aerodynamic requirements of the project.
ADA acoustic louvres are suitable for applications where mechanical ventilation and noise control need to be considered together, including:

Our acoustic louvres can be manufactured in a range of materials and finishes to suit architectural, environmental and project requirements, including aluminium, Bluescope Galvabond®, 304 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel.
Depending on the selected material, finish options include mill finish, anodising and powder coating. Bird or vermin mesh, modular or ganged configurations and additional acoustic treatments are also available where required.
The appropriate acoustic louvre depends on the required sound attenuation, available opening size, airflow, face velocity, acceptable pressure drop and the acoustic characteristics of the equipment or noise source.
ADA offers single-blade acoustic louvres in 150 mm, 300 mm, 600 mm and 900 mm series depths, together with 600 mm and 900 mm double-blade configurations for applications requiring increased attenuation.
Our team can assist with selecting a configuration to suit your project requirements. Contact ADA Louvre Systems to discuss your application or request technical information and performance data.

Compact single-blade aluminium louvre (150 mm series depth) that balances ventilation with broadband noise reduction for tight façade openings and plant screens. Nominal free open area ~45% (varies with mesh and accessories). The ADA series is anchored to independent testing: aerodynamic performance to AS/NZS 4740:2025 (CFD, Class 1 on the tested configuration) and acoustic performance to AS 1191 / AS/NZS ISO 717-1 on a related 300 mm specimen. Materials are project-grade and site-durable with architectural finish options.
