Plant louvres are specifically designed to provide ventilation to the mechanical and electrical (M&E) equipment housed in industrial plants. These louvres are instrumental in ensuring that the M&E equipment operates efficiently while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for building occupants. According to SafeWork’s workplace ventilation guidance, adequate natural or mechanical ventilation is essential in industrial and plant-room environments to support air quality, manage heat and contaminants, and protect worker health and safety. Plant louvres support these requirements by allowing controlled fresh-air intake and exhaust. In addition, plant louvres are engineered to withstand harsh outdoor conditions and protect equipment from debris, birds and other hazards that can obstruct or damage critical systems.
ADA Louvres designs and manufactures high-performance plant room louvres in Australia, engineered to provide reliable airflow, equipment screening, and long-term durability in commercial and industrial environments.
Our range includes high airflow louvres, rain-control systems, and architectural screening options, allowing you to select the right solution based on ventilation performance, environmental exposure, and project requirements.
All systems are custom-made in Adelaide using premium materials and designed to meet Australian Standards.
The 30100 louvre is a high airflow single-stage system designed to maximise ventilation performance in plant room applications. With a 30° blade profile and 72 mm pitch, it delivers a higher free air percentage than most standard louvre systems while still providing effective screening.
It is commonly used in plant rooms, risers, and rooftop enclosures where airflow is the primary requirement and weather protection is not critical.
The 30100D louvre is an enhanced version of the 30100 profile, incorporating a built-in rain catch system to improve water management in exposed environments. Each blade features an integrated channel that captures wind-driven rain and directs it to drainage points, reducing water carryover while maintaining high airflow.
This makes it ideal for plant rooms and rooftop installations where additional rain control is required without moving to a full multi-stage louvre system.
The 45100 louvre is a versatile single-stage horizontal system designed for reliable ventilation and effective screening across a wide range of plant room applications. With a 100 mm blade pitch and 45° profile, it offers a strong balance between airflow performance and durability.
It is widely used for plant room intakes and relief air openings, rooftop plant enclosures, and mechanical equipment screening.

The 45100S louvre enhances the standard 45100 design by improving rain performance through a deeper blade profile and refined leading edge. This helps reduce wind-driven rain carryover while maintaining similar airflow performance.
It is well suited to exposed plant rooms and rooftop installations where additional protection is required but a full two-stage system is not necessary.
The 2S100 louvre is a two-stage system designed to improve weather resistance in exposed plant room environments. By incorporating a secondary rear blade stage, it creates a stepped airflow path that reduces rain penetration while maintaining effective ventilation.
This makes it ideal for rooftop plant enclosures and mechanical areas where both airflow and environmental protection are critical.
The S45/100 louvre is a high airflow single-stage system designed for large plant room openings where maximum ventilation is required. Its 100 mm blade pitch allows efficient air movement with minimal resistance, making it a cost-effective solution for industrial and commercial applications.
